Feed the Campus – Combating Hunger and Inspiring Hope at FULafia
As the reigning Mr. FULafia (Face of Federal University of Lafia), I have witnessed firsthand the silent struggles of students who attend lectures daily with empty stomachs, lacking even the basic means to feed themselves. Feed the Campus is a heartfelt outreach project aimed at addressing student hunger, promoting dignity, and creating a sense of community and care within our institution. This project seeks to provide nutritious meal packs to over 300 students, especially those from low-income backgrounds. With rising food prices and economic hardship, many undergraduates are silently suffering. A single act of kindness could fuel a dream, save a life, or inspire a future leader. We are targeting a funding goal of ₦600,000, which will cover the cost of food items (rice, beans, spaghetti, vegetable oil, protein, and hygiene items), packaging, logistics, and volunteer support. Every donation counts, no matter how small. Together, let us prove that kindness still exists—and that no student should have to choose between hunger and education.
Why Feed the Campus Matters
Hunger is a silent barrier that prevents many students from reaching their full academic and creative potential. As Face of FULafia, I’ve encountered too many students who go through entire days without a decent meal. Feed the Campus is not just about food—it’s about dignity, mental well-being, and hope. This initiative will provide over 300 students with balanced meal packs, serving as a reminder that they are seen, valued, and supported. Your donation will go directly into purchasing food items, packaging, and logistics. Every ₦1,000 can feed a student. Every gift matters.
