Disaster relief and Healthcare
Hi everyone ❤️ Hope you’re having a good day (or night, depending on when you’re reading this). I’m reaching out regarding a friend of mine who recently moved to Abuja and has been going through a very tough time. Shortly after relocating, he faced various personal and financial setbacks while trying to settle into a new environment. With little to no support system and family members who are also struggling, we had to take out loans from some of the more common loan apps just to stay afloat and care for family (younger siblings). Unfortunately, those quick loans came with extremely high interest rates, which pulled him into a cycle of borrowing just to repay, and it’s now spiraled into serious debt. His startup, which he hoped would be his way out, also took a big hit during this period. Right now, it’s become a matter of survival, dealing with aggressive loan agents, daily stress, and the weight of multiple responsibilities, all while still trying to find stable ground. To give some perspective he once applied for a ₦400k loan and only received about ₦213-240k after deductions. That alone shows how harsh and predatory some of these loan systems can be. This message is a call for support from anyone who’s able to help, in any way at all. Financial contributions, kind words, or even just sharing this message with someone who might be able to assist. We’re trying to clear the outstanding debts (as listed in the cover photo), so he can breathe, regroup, and start rebuilding his life. Thanks so much for taking the time to read. We deeply appreciate every bit of support. ❤️
